  • Hello Y’all. There’s been a few conversations in the ethical space over the past couple of months, conversations I’ve been silently following. I don’t want my silence to be misinterpreted. I am not a member of EWC, and while I appreciate and admire much of the work Alden has done in this space, I do not condone or support her actions during these conversations. . I’ve personally been learning from these conversations and have heard and felt the pain of our ethical and slow fashion BIPOC community. What happened was unacceptable. We must do better, to be conscious is to be inclusive and I hear that message loud and clear. . A few steps I’m personally taking: . 1) In the coming days I will be publishing a shop BIPOC “Buy This Not That” guide that I have been working on for awhile. In the meantime check out @buyfrombipoc. . 2) I have downloaded the Me and White Supremacy Workbook by @laylafsaad and will be working through that (link in profile for those interested) . 3) I will continue to listen to our community and respect and honor their voices. I will use my privilege to speak up and be an ally. . Thanks to @steph_watanabe for tagging me yesterday and prompting me to finally speak up. For those not aware of what is happening/has happened, I encourage reading the posts and stories of @little_kotos_closet @clothedinabundance @ajabarber. .
